Opening Bash Invitational
Beer Week kicks off on February 25 at Brooklyn Expo Center with the Opening Bash Invitational, one of the beer festivals in Brooklyn. This tasting event is the ideal way to start off celebrating the beer scene in NYC.
45 different breweries will be in attendance from all over the world to give you unlimited samples of their beers. Meet and discuss the drinks, and then get a taste of food that will go perfectly with your brew at the Gastronomic Garden.
More entertainment will be announced closer to the date. General admission tasting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. the day of the event.
NYC Fermentation Festival
Fermented foods are having a moment, and the Fermentation Festival is celebrating it. Attend and sample fermented goods from over 30 different vendors. This includes beer as well as kimchi, veggies, juice, and cheese curds, to name a few.
You can also taste home brews from hobby brewers, plus attend seminars all about fermentation, and ask questions about DIY fermenting at the DIY Help Desks.
The festival will happen on February 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn Expo Center. This is one of the family-friendly festivals in NYC for beer week, so don’t be afraid to bring the kids – there will be food and drinks for them, too!
