Schedule of Upcoming Broadway Shows
In March and April, expect to see lots of stage musicals inspired by popular films. These will include:

  • Amelie – Opening April 3, this production is based on the 2000 French film about a shy waitress who has a unique way of seeing the world and finds clever, secret ways to help those around her.
  • Groundhog Day – Opening April 17, this musical is based on the 1993 movie starring Bill Murray about a weatherman who must live the same day over and over.
  • Anastasia – Opening April 24, this musical follows the story of a lost Russian princess and includes songs from the popular 1997 animated movie.

This spring will additionally feature popular stage shows coming back with refreshed verve. 

  • Miss Saigon – Opening March 23, Miss Saigon is the record-breaking revival of a popular stage drama.
  • The Little Foxes – Opening April 19, this revival of a 1930s drama stars Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon.
  • Hello, Dolly! – Opening April 20, this classic musical gets a new spin from stars Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce.

The annual Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival is where people put on their fanciest clothes, don Easter bonnets, and march down 5th Avenue. You can either join the march or watch the pageantry. The parade will start at 10 a.m.

Something for the kids? The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is throwing an Easter celebration complete with a museum-wide Easter egg scavenger hunt. Kids who find them all get a prize.
