Summer Attractions in NYC: Eat Up Delicious Savings

Summer Restaurant Week in NYC
If you want a scrumptious, three-course meal at a top eatery, get out for this fun summer event.

Event Details
Restaurant Week will be firing up the stoves, ovens, and grills for special meals from July 24 to August 18.

Happy Birthday Restaurant Week - it's the 25th Anniversary! You can make reservations starting July 10. It’s recommended you do so, because the event is incredibly popular – tables fill up fast. However, if you’re willing to risk it, walk-ins are welcome.

What Does “Prix Fixe” Mean?
“Prix fixe” is simply French for “fixed price.” During Restaurant Week, participating establishments serve prix fixe meals at a set price. That means you can count on a three-course spread including an appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

Most restaurants will have a choice of three options for each course and at least two options for dessert. These businesses will be putting out their best, so it’s a great opportunity to find a new favorite place to try.

Planning on feasting during Restaurant Week? Book your stay with us at The Manhattan Club while you’re having fun at one of the hottest summer attractions in NYC.

Mark Your Calendars for the Lincoln Center Festival This Summer

Lincoln Center NYC Hosts International Talent

Lincoln Center Festival this summer
When considering performance arts in New York City, Lincoln Center is always one of the most sought after destinations for culture and entertainment.  Home to The Metropolitan Opera, The New York City Ballet, The New York Philharmonic as well as a number of other resident performing arts companies, Lincoln Center has hosted spellbinding shows since the very first performance at Philharmonic Hall in 1962.

Infuse yourself in culture at the 2017 Lincoln Center Festival this summer.

The festival will run from July 10 through the 30th, and will give you 20 days worth of entertainment to choose from.  Among the events you can find are  feature films and theater from Israel and Syria, dance productions from Russia, Japan, and France, music offerings from China, Brazil, and the U.S.

The Lincoln Center Festival is known worldwide for the most unique performing arts programs in the Center’s history. Since its inception there have been 1,465 performances of opera, music, dance and theater by internationally acclaimed artists from more than 50 countries.

For 2017, there are numerous performances to put on your radar, including shows that underscore this year’s festival theme of “crossing borders.”

Plays from Syria and Israel include family and political dramas – While I Was Waiting tells the tale of a man stopped at an airport checkpoint in Damascus (see it performed July 19-22). Yitzhak Rabin: Chronicle of Assassination is the story of the Israeli prime minister’s murder (watch it on July 19).

Meanwhile, ballet will take center stage in a fresh production of the classic Jewels. This will bring together the New York City Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet from Russia, and France’s Paris Opera Ballet. There will be multiple performances from July 20-23.

Everyone at The Manhattan Club hopes you enjoy your time at this year’s Lincoln Center Festival!
