The Finale at Foley Square

Kicking off Fleet Week will be the annual Parade of Ships on May 24th. This free event will happen in New York Harbor as military ships traverse the waters.

Intrepid Museum’s Summer Movie Series
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is an institution located on a former aircraft carrier. The gigantic vessel was engaged in action during World War II, and today it is a museum where you can learn about its history, the people it carried, and the jobs it accomplished.
The museum’s Summer Movie Series kicks off during Fleet Week. See a movie on the ship’s flight deck for free! Bring a picnic blanket, lawn chairs, and snacks and prepare to watch Top Gun on May 26th.

Battle of the Big Bands
Go back in time to the 1940s for this WWII-era battle of the bands, swing dance-off, and all-around good time. Plus, guests are encouraged to dress in their best vintage fashion for the fashion show and contest.  Battle of the Big Bands will happen on the Intrepid’s flight deck on May 27th.
